Dreams Are Never Tiny

Dream are Never Tiny is a heart-gripping poetry collection created to help women remember their childhood dreams and remind them that they can make these dreams come true, no matter how tough their circumstances or obstacles are right now.

As a Poetry Virtual Tour, Dream are Never Tiny has already garnered great feedback from the women who have seen it online. (See below.) In their own words, they have "laughed, cried and remembered. They have come back home."

Maria Mar delivers one of the poems from Dreams are Never Tiny, ~a poetry book-in-progress. Accompanied by live music, Maria delivers the poem using the compelling power of her voice and her presence as poet-shaman. During key moments of the poems, she engages the women in simple participatory acts that transform the poem into a Rites of Passage.

This presentation can be accompanied by a visual presentation. (Requires equipment.)

It can be followed by an inspirational speech about the power in women to reach their dreams and goals.

Dreams are never tiny.

Small girls dream big,

for they listen to the Dream of Earth

planted and blooming in their souls.

Mary dream with a light-filled house
where children's song outside
and birds' songs outside
create one happy harmony,
drowning despair.

Terry dreams with a large window
through which she sees the world
as she writes her books
without fear of scarcity.
....
They dream with solutions.
With the absence of pain.
With the triumph of their natures
above their conditions.
